01.14.13 the prairie in winter
There is a prairie garden two blocks away from our house, a wild oasis in the middle of the city. I walk to this tiny, overgrown patch anticipating the new discoveries and unexpected beauty that await me. It is no different in winter, though I may have to look a little harder to see it. How warm and vibrant brown can seem against the snow!
