There is no doubt of summer’s waning. I search for color, anything still plump with life, not painted with autumn’s withering brush. There are flashes – the unflagging violet of the russian sage. Soon only the skeletal forms of the flowers will remain, but that can be beautiful too…

  1. Ah man, I feel for you with the turning of winter. Hard to believe since Texas is still hot, green and vibrant. Hurricane rains helped bring new life to all plants here. Keep up the color search. I look forward to your winter whites.
