The weight of the snow brought huge branches crashing down. They fell, slow-motion, in clouds of powder – like an avalanche. Then, they lay, silent – graceful in repose – on a blanket of leaf-strewn snow.

  1. This is a wonderful photo, you’ve really captured the starkness of the winter landscape… though I hope you have a few more mild days before the bitter cold settles in.

  2. Wow! The stark black and white (except for Zola’s pink) of the last two days really brings home the fact that it is truly winter. Great shots Terra!
