You’d think that we, of the frozen tundra, would prepare for winter around Labor Day. But we dawdle away the warm days of autumn, believing we have just a little more time. Winter is rarely subtle in the north. The world really can change overnight, leaving the things of summer suspended until the vernal breezes blow once more.

  1. Timely, interesting and relatable. My hose snake was slightly frozen today too. Which made me chuckle, as I did the morning chore of rinsing out the french press and broadcasting the grounds. Your photograph brought the day to a quick full circle and made me laugh as I checked emails before heading out the door without a coat. Its nice what a cup of coffee and four hours can do for the spirit. Home stretch Terra. Keep shining.
