The delicate patterns of bootprints made striking graphic designs in the fresh dusting of snow on the sidewalk. They had a distinctly zebra-like quality – all back and rump – as if drawn in the dirt with fine particles of bleached sand.

  1. This is a fascinating abstract image — I’m not sure I would have recognized it if you hadn’t named it… amazing what you find if you look under your nose (or your toes)!
