I was foraging through my forest of photographs last week when I came upon these beauties! Brad’s uncle, Barry, arrived at the cabin over Memorial Day with pockets full of oyster mushrooms he’d found on a hike in the woods nearby. I was gaga over their subtle colors and the patterning of the clustered caps and delicate gills. After taking about a gazillion shots, I grudgingly relinquished them so they could be sautéed in olive oil and quickly devoured by the entire family. I don’t know how I forgot about the pictures until now but it was fun to discover them all over again. Oh, and they were yummy, too!
