I used to work in an office downtown, walk the skyway system, ride the elevator with Suits & Heels. I sat at a desk and counted out the minutes. The work was easy but it was hard time on my soul.
I relish the fact that lately my job involves space heaters, X-Acto knives and Sharpies and a commute to our rickety old garage in my big old wool shirt and boots. It is exhausting, as well as exhilarating, to always be doing something new and sometimes the work is really hard. My hands are raw and my body is tired. But my soul is full of satisfaction. And the time? It flies.
