03.25.13 disco fever

Like many photographers, I have certain things that I always snap a shot of when I come across them. Fountains are one. Weird self portraits are another. Yesterday, I decided that I should add disco balls to the list (based on this favorite shot from 2010). I especially love the juxtaposition of the disco ball with something unexpected, such as trees.

A favorite fountain, resembling a dandelion exploding with seed. Colossal public art, radial symmetry, ode to the much-maligned dandelion weed- all wrapped into one glorious burst of water, air, and sunlight. Thanks, Ben Berger.
